"Since I was about seven, I was interested in advertising. I collected many great adverts and thought of my future."  In 2001, NICO had been nominated for the D& AD magazine front cover award. He graduated BA (Hons.) Graphic Design from Central Saint Martin College of Art and Design in London in 2002, where many well-known lecturers and tutors taught him about the world of graphic design. He has done many projects with a number of clients such as Illy Cafe, Diesel, GAS, Fabricia, Laurent Pierre Champagne and others.  In April 2002, both Illy and Diesel offered to exhibit his work in Milan as part of Milan Design Week with a group of design students. In 2004, he also won an advertising award for the VIVA TV campaign that was shown across Italy.

He had worked freelance and full-time jobs across the UK, Holland, Italy and Malta for few years before joining MAS Communications in 2005.
